Don't Fall Asleep Around Kaleb!

A few minutes ago I went to check on the boys who were suppose to be napping. I found Kaleb hovering under his blanket guilt ridden. His brother lay asleep covered in toys. I removed all of them without even stirring him. I can only imagine what Kaleb will do in quite a few years to the first person to crash out at a party!

Pregnant Belly Pictures

Since I have been asked by several people who live far away to see how fat I have gotten I took a couple of pictures. We are now almost 29 weeks, and will deliver by c-section on December 8th (providing everything goes according to plan!) Not the best quality but you can at least see how big I am...

Finished Fence

So proud of Ako! He finished the fence on Sunday. We are a long way from completing the back yard still but at least we have some more privacy. The boys love having some dirt to play in while we work on finishing the rest of the yard.

Kaleb goes to the Dentist

I was a little unsure if he would let the hygienist clean his teeth. His previous experiences have not gone so well. Last time I had to hold him down kicking and screaming for them to count his teeth. Today was his first official cleaning. He did wonderful. He was so proud of his gift bag of toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste that we had to carry the bag into every store we went this afternoon. The good news though no cavities and his teeth that had been injured a couple of years ago are fine.

Happily married five wonderful years! We had a lovely evening at home of blockbuster and pot pies after the kids went to bed. I love you Ako! I'd do it all over again!

Jackson get his first bike

He told us over and over how much he liked his bike. It was really cute! Kaleb has expressed some concern that he may not be the fastest one anymore. They are so competitive already!

Grandma's Visit

Grandma was here for the week. We had a great time. We went bowling, shopping at the mall, and Ako and I actually had a date! It was good to spend time with my mom. We were all sad to see her go.

One of the few places Jackson can eat due to his severe food allergies is Burger King. He can have their french fries. We made a rare trip inside and ate at a booth (after I washed everything down with wet wipes of course). I got the attention of everyone in the restaurant. I think they thought I was a neat freak. Ha!

ZenSoy Pudding

We had another first as far as food is concerned today. Jackson enjoyed ZenSoy chocolate pudding and it was quite tasty! This was his first time trying pudding. It warms my heart when I can find tasty treats that are somewhat normal that he can have. We are going again sometime in February for allergy retesting for milk, eggs, and peanuts. Due to some of the problems we are having with external allergy problems I am going to see if we can't get him in sooner to retest for the others barley, oats, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, and for the new ones - grass, dogs, weeds, mold, and dust. Keep Jackson in your prayers!

I had my ultrasound today, and everything is going great! The baby is measuring about a week ahead of schedule or is just big, which all the babies in our family tend to be. They think it is a girl! I hope Ako can upload the scans soon and I can share with you the pictures. We have a great profile picture. I will keep you posted on anything new.

Wild Fires

Last night we had a scary experience. I was painting Ako's office and Ako started to yell at me to look out the window. There were huge flames shooting over the house on the end of our street. Ako called 911 and they were already aware of it. About 15 minutes later it appeared to be out and then we got a phone call from the emergency services. They called to let us know they were evacuating our neighborhood and we needed to leave. We looked out the window again and saw the fire behind another house on our street. Our neighbors went and checked it out and it appears it was quite a bit farther away than we had thought and it was just a wild fire - no houses were burned. Just the same I packed a big bag for all of us and we called a friend to see if we could spend the night if needed. Ako stayed up until it was contained, but we didn't sleep very well. We found the boys in bed together the next morning with the lights on. I tried to take pictures of the fire but they didn't turn out.

Rocky Mountains

We visited the Rockies today. Always beautiful!

Kaleb and I managed the hike this time. I only had to carry Kaleb half of the trip so not too bad.

Vegan Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

I am really proud of myself I made my first batch of successful vegan gluten free chocolate chip cookies. I had to take a picture just in case I am never able to duplicate them again. They taste just like the real thing too. Not an easy task to do! I dare ya to try it. If anybody needs the recipe just let me know
