Jackson's Allergies Are Improving!

Amazing news! Jackson had allergy testing yesterday and passed his skin testing for dairy. We have to wait another three weeks for his blood work to come back, but we are thrilled with the improvement. He still tested positive to the peanuts and he wasn't tested for oats. We were so proud of how Jackson handled the testing and blood work. He did not shed a single tear or fight any of the nurses or doctors. He has come a long way in the last couple years!

I am so proud of my big boys today! They asked to help clean! I about fell over. They wiped down the sink and bathtub with vinegar and water. I hope that this will be the first of many cleaning jobs by the boys.

Pictures with Santa

We visited Bass Pro shop in hopes of getting in on the free pictures with Santa but the lines were ridiculously long so we had fun with some of the other activities. Kaleb and Jackson had an indoor snowball fight with fake snow. I was able to take the kids to the mall later in the week for pictures though. We weren't planning on getting pictures that day but it just worked out. Both boys are beginning to get suspicious on why Santa looks different at each store. They are telling me that they know that they are not the REAL SANTA. Alanna was really not having any of it. Poor girl was terrified of the man.

Gingerbread House Construction

We decided to try our first family gingerbread house. It was a great way to use up some of that Halloween candy we have left over. The boys did a wonderful job decorating. Alanna did a great job supervising too.

Baby Girl's 1st Birthday

I cannot believe it's already been a whole year. It did not take Alanna long to learn how to open her own presents this morning . She actually developed a little attitude if anyone tried to help her. Boy has our little girl grown, she is saying tons of different things, and really knows how to make her mind known. We are so proud of our sweet little Alanna.

The Boulder's Munchkin Masquerade was rescheduled due to the weather this year. It worked out really well for us since there was about half the people there this year.

Trick or Treat

We trick or treated around the subdivision on Halloween. The boys got a ton of candy and we only went a few blocks which was nice considering all of the snow. I carried Alanna most of the way since she was tired. We got to see our neighbor friend who has dressed up like the Burger King the last couple of years. He is especially cool to Jackson since Burger King is one of his few places that he can eat with his allergies. We also were really amazed to see the snowman in one of our neighbors yards. Two grown men spent the entire day building it. I believe it was over 6' tall. We later went home for the normal sorting of candy and trading. We ended the night with no food allergy reactions so another successful Halloween!

Kaleb & Jackson's Halloween Party at School

The boys had a Halloween party at school today. We also got lots of snow. Most schools were closed today, but since there was a party we couldn't miss it. I was able to spend a little time alone outside of class with Alanna while we waited for the boys. After school the boys where able to have some fun in the snow.

Kaleb's 5th Birthday

Kaleb turned 5 today. He opened presents this morning before going to school. For dinner we at pizza, his favorite, and had over our neighbors who are like grandparents for transformers cake. Jackson already has plans for his 5th birthday celebrations.

Kaleb had his first real birthday party at Jungle Quest. Six of his friends were able to come for a total of eight kids. They all seemed to have a ball. They rock climbed, zip lined, rope swung, and ate cake. It was pretty exhausting!

We had the kids portraits updated today at JCP. The photographer did a pretty good job considering the boys were hyper and Alanna was sleepy. Alanna stood all by herself for quite a while which was a first, we were really excited he was able to capture it.
