Allergy Testing Update
Yesterday, we took Jackson for his food allergy tests at The Children's' Hospital. His eczema on his back was too bad for them to do the testing. The doctor decided to do the testing for the hypo-allergenic baby formulas since he did have four spots they felt were clear enough to test on. He did not react to the testing. Just to be safe the doctor had him try the formula at the hospital. Within five minutes he began to wheeze and cough. Then after another five he broke out in hives. He then had breathing treatments and was given benadryl. Thank the Lord that the reaction then began to clear up. The doctor advised us to continue as we are and gave us stronger prescription for steroids and creams. He was also able to get set us up with National Jewish, the #1 facility in the nation for the last 9 yrs. for allergies and respiratory problems. We are very thankful that we made the move to Colorado since their facility is located in Denver. We are convinced the Lord opens certain doors for a reason! I already received a phone call from them today and we will be particapting in two test studies (we will not be participating in any experimental drugs). One of the studies will be for five years testing his progress and any changes. The other study should be taking place in the next couple of weeks. They will be monitoring Jackson and myself for 48/72 hrs., giving him his food allergy tests, and having him try out foods. We are really excited about this new facility and feel that we will make some good progress. Thank you for your prayers!
