Prayer Request

Our best friends Amy & Scott are adopting two beautiful little girls from Haiti.  Amy is there right now visiting their girls.  Haiti is really struggling though.  The people are starving.  There is not enough money to even buy rice.   Many of the people are forced to eat biscuits made of dirt.  The food situation has caused a lot of rioting in the country.  I would ask that you pray for Amy and their daughter's safety as well as a resolution.

The individual stories of the children in the orphanage are especially heart breaking though.  Scott called tonight to update me on Amy's trip.  There is one particular little baby boy that Amy has developed a special attachment to.  They are required at the orphanage to do physicals on each child.  They were informed today that the little boy would no longer be allowed to stay at the orphanage for the health safety of the other children, because he tested positive to HIV.  Considering there is not even enough money to buy food, he will not be able to get the proper medicine.  It's uncertain right now if the birth mothering is coming to get him.  Please keep him in your prayers!

Potty Training Success

I don't want to jinx ourselves, but what a great day potty training we had!  Absolutely no accidents including nap time either!  This is starting out sooo much easier than with Kaleb and we're beginning a whole year earlier!  No diapers gotta love it!  He is pretty proud of himself too.

Icies & Buckets of Water

The boys new favorite past time is playing with buckets of water in the front yard and eating icies.

Happy 2nd Birthday to Jackson

I can't believe how fast time is flying by.  Our baby has turned two!  He has come so far with all he has had to deal with regarding his food allergies.  What a happy sweet boy with so much energy!  We love you Jackson!

Denver Botanic Gardens

We took a trip to the Denver Botanic Gardens this week.  They had a free day for Colorado residents.  This was out first time there.  The flowers were not yet in bloom, but we had a great time and could tell it would be really beautiful during the flowering season.

Shriner Circus

I won tickets to the Circus from a drawing at the mall.  We were kind of expecting it to be a little cheesy.  It definitely exceeded our expectations!  They had wonderful acts and there was a lot of exciting going on in all three rings.  The boys were most excited about the cotton candy though.  They had it everywhere!

Found Maltese

Anybody missing this dog give us a call!  We unfortunately decided to take this dog in until we find his owners.  Too bad he's not fixed...poor poor Stella.

Kaleb's First Whole Popsicle

Enjoying every bite.  He made sure to rub it into his brother, who did not finish his meal.  One of the few meals Jackson didn't finish, so he missed out on desert.

Destruction all around

Jackson is going through a bit of a destructive nature.  We are hoping that this merely a phase.  Here is a bit of his handy work...

This picture does not do Jackson's work justice.  Our rocking horse took an unfortunate tumble down the stairs and landed with a hoof in the wall.

This would be the results of ripping off the cabinet door.

The other piece was smashed into powder.

This happened in about two minutes, while I was on the phone telling someone about the smashed toilet tank cover.

This would be green sharpie.  At least it's not on the outside, right!

Knee Puppets

The boys really enjoy our malls story time activities.  This Thursday they scheduled the puppet lady to perform.  It was quite unusual to say the least.  I was a little concerned when she began to raise her skirt for her second puppet performance, mind you we were in the front row- no place to escape if the act went wrong.  Too bad we haven't been able to figure out how to do video on the blog yet, it would have been quite the treat.  Anyhow, here is a couple pics...
